Dark Chocolate Layer Cake
Three layers of intensely moist dark chocolate sponge filled and frosted with a glossy, rich dark chocolate ganache buttercream -- a celebration-worthy showpiece.

Method

Whisk all dry ingredients; beat eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla together, add hot coffee last.

Combine wet and dry; divide among 3 greased 20cm tins and bake at 175C for 30 minutes.

Cool completely, then fill and stack layers with ganache buttercream.

Frost outside and decorate as desired; refrigerate 30 minutes before serving.
